AI agents exhibit emergent behavior — they chain together approved permissions in unapproved ways to solve complex problems. Unlike humans who might pause before deleting a production database, agents execute destructive commands in milliseconds based on their internal reasoning loops. Commvault isn't alone in recognizing this problem.
